Shut up and eat.
Privacy policy. Last updated October 7, 2026.
Shut Up and Eat is made by RFT Media. It has no accounts and no ads, and it doesn't track you. Here's everything it handles.
Your location
When you search, the app sends your current location and search radius to our server so it can find restaurants near you. The server uses it to answer that search and doesn't save it.
A random install ID
The app makes up a random ID the first time it runs. Our server uses it to count how many searches each install makes in a month, which stops people from copying our restaurant list. The count is deleted after about two months. The ID isn't connected to your name, phone number or anything else about you.
Your IP address
To stop abuse, the server counts searches per network per day. It stores a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, not the address itself, and deletes the count after about two months. Like most websites, our hosting servers may keep routine connection logs for security and troubleshooting.
The $1.99 unlock
Apple or Google handles the payment. We use RevenueCat to check that your install owns the unlock. We never see your name, email or card. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
What stays on your phone
Player names, your filters and your Never Again list are saved only on your phone. We never receive them.
Other apps
Open in Maps, Call and Order on DoorDash hand you off to other apps and websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you're there.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your data, run ads, use analytics, or track you across other apps and websites.
Kids
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
